About Community
Community centers on Jeff (Joel McHale), a suspended lawyer who is back in school after his college degree is deemed invalid by the State Bar. The show centers on Jeff's experiences going to community college and the people he meets there. John Oliver plays Duncan, a professor at the community college, whom Jeff represented as a lawyer. He also meets a girl, Britta, who is his main love interest in the series, as well as Pierce (Chevy Chase), an older student who has been married seven times.

Community Season 1 Episode Guide



Episode 1: Pilot (Sep/17/2009)
Jeff Winger has his law degree revoked. He forms a a study group with the help of his peers and learn new things about themselves.

Episode 2:  Spanish 101 (Sep/24/2009)
In Spanish class, Senor Chang asks the students to pair up for a project. Jeff's attempt to team up with Britta fails and he ends up displeased with his actual partner. Annie and Shirley assist Britta with her cause for social justice.

Episode 3: Introduction to Film (Oct/01/2009)
Jeff joins Professor Whitman's class for an easy A grade. Jeff realizes how much work he needs to put in to pass. Britta helps Abed fulfill his dream. Pierce teaches Troy the proper way to sneeze.

For Professor Duncan's psychology research team, Abed and Troy are recruited as test subjects by Annie. Also, Shirley and Jeff start to bond as they gossip about Britta and her boyfriend. Pierce tests out his new eavesdropping device.

Community Season 2 Episode Guide



Episode 1: Anthropology 101 (Sep/23/2010)
Classes start again at Greendale Community College and the group prepares for their new Anthropology class and teacher, June Bauer. Jeff struggles with tensions with Britta and Annie after what happened at the Transfer Dance. Senor Chang enrolls as a student so that he can join the gang's study group.

Episode 2: Accounting for Lawyers (Sep/30/2010)
Jeff runs into his old law colleague and is soon going back to his old ways of partying and expensive attire. His friends come to rescue him, some digging up dirt on Jeff's acquaintance, and some start to become corrupted by lawyers.

Episode 3: The Psychology of Letting Go (Oct/07/2010)
When Pierce's mother dies, the group helps to comfort him. After putting Jeff in the hospital, by one of her class pranks going awry, Professor Bauer takes a leave of absence and Professor Duncan attempts to take over her Anthropology class.

Episode 4: Basic Rocket Science (Oct/14/2010)
Greendale gets its own space simulator after the Dean discovers that their rival school, City College, is unveiling its own orbital launch simulator. The Dean makes the group clean the simulator due to an unflattering school flag design they submitted. When inside, the simulator accidentally launches, meaning it's up to the team to get it back to campus in time of the school's unveiling.

Episode 5: Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples (Oct/21/2010)
Shirley wants to make a religious film, and when she wants to get input from Abed, Shirley finds out he is already planning on making one of his own. Pierce becomes aware of his age in comparison to the rest of the group, and is recruited by another group of students closer to his age.

Episode 6: Epidemiology 206 (Oct/28/2010)
When some of the Greendale staff and students ingest a bio-hazardous substance, they start to develop flu-like symptoms and turn into zombies. The group will have to save the others and themselves when the Dean locks them in with the infected.

Episode 7: Aerodynamics of Gender (Nov/04/2010)
After an encounter with a group of "mean girls", Annie, Britta and Shirley turn to Abed to make him the ultimate "mean girl". Meanwhile, Jeff and Troy embrace a zen-like spirituality and find a hidden trampoline on campus.

Episode 8: Cooperative Calligraphy (Nov/11/2010)
Annie's favourite pen goes missing, and she suspects that someone in the group took it. Then study room is put on lock down, and Jeff starts conducting the investigation. Troy and Abed are especially anxious to get out of the room in order to make it to the Greendale Puppy Parade in time.

Episode 9: Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design (Nov/18/2010)
As the Dean is going over class schedules, he finds out that Jeff Winger is enrolled in a class that does not exist. When it seems that Jeff is going to be caught in the lie, a mysterious Professor Professorson emerges from the shadows and states that Jeff has been taking his class: "Conspiracy Theories in U.S. History" during night school. Jeff later admits to Annie that he has never seen Professor Professorson before in his life, so they decide to investigate who he really is. Meanwhile, Troy and Abed are building the most elaborate blanket fort in Greendale history.

Episode 10: Mixology Certification (Dec/02/2010)
It is Troy's 21st birthday, so the group decides to hit the bars. While Britta and Jeff are drinking too many cocktails, Shirley is taking down incriminating pictures of herself, Annie is embracing her fake identity and Abed gets into a deep conversation with another Sci-Fi lover.

Episode 11: Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas (Dec/09/2010)
Abed wakes up in stop-motion animation making him believe that the group must re-discover the true meaning of Christmas. With the help of Professor Duncan, the group explores Abed's winter wonderland and soon discovers the truth behind Abed's madness.

Episode 12: Asian Population Studies (Jan/20/2011)
The group debates whether to add Rich, who recently started anthropology, or Senor Chang to the group. Shirley's ex-husband arrives and she has some big news.

Episode 13: Celebrity Pharmacology (Jan/27/2011)
Greendale Community College is performing an anti-drug play at a nearby middle school. Pierce becomes very excited about performing and desires a bigger role and his behavior becomes over the top. Senor Chang comes to the rescue, making himself more admirable in the group's eyes.

Episode 14: Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (Feb/03/2011)
Jeff and the group are concerned for a classmate under ridicule -- "Fat Neil". In order to lift his spirits, they organize a game of Dungeons & Dragons and each take on a role. Pierce, who was intentionally not invited, finds out and forces his way into the game to spite them.

Episode 15: Early 21st Century Romanticism (Feb/10/2011)
It is Valentine's day at Greendale! Troy and Abed both attempt to get the attention of the school's librarian and Britta tries to befriend a female student whom she believes is gay. Jeff finds himself hosting a party at his apartment and Professor Duncan invites himself over to watch soccer.

Episode 16: Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking (Feb/17/2011)
After ingesting mysterious pills Pierce believes he is dying and gives the group his final words and specially chosen gifts, little does the group know, these gifts are meant to torment them. Jeff thinks about meeting with his long lost dad, meanwhile Troy meets his idol LeVar Burton.

Episode 17: Political Developments and Uncivil Disobedience (Feb/24/2011)
Greendale prepares for the Vice President's visit. Dean Pelton organizes the first student elections, putting Annie against Jeff, Leonard and Star Burns. Meanwhile, Abed develops a friendship with special agent Robin Vohlers.

Episode 18: Custody Law and Eastern European Diplomacy (Mar/17/2011)
Annie decides to organize a baby shower for the expecting Shirley. Shirley, at the same time, tries to keep Senor Chang away from her. Britta has a new mysterious man of interest.

Episode 19: Critical Film Studies (Mar/24/2011)
Jeff incorporates Abed's love of cinema and pop culture, into a specially themed "Pulp Fiction" surprise birthday for him. But the tables are turned as Abed arranges another dinner with an unsuspecting Jeff at another eating establishment, meanwhile the study group eagerly awaits their arrival.

Episode 20: Competitive Wine Tasting (Apr/14/2011)
While the crew selects their electives for the spring semester, Pierce gets involved with a woman and Jeff suspects she is up to something.

Episode 21: Paradigms of Human Memory (Apr/21/2011)
The school year is ending and the group begins to work on their final Anthropology project. They begin to reminisce on past events that they have experienced together. Troy's monkey even makes a guest appearance only to retreat back to the ventilation system, where Señor Chang tries to track him down.

Episode 22: Applied Anthropology and Culinary Arts (Apr/28/2011)
While taking the final in Anthropology class, Shirley goes into labor. Jeff and Britta help get together help for her and Chang gets anxious in anticiaption of the baby's arrival. Greendale hosts a World Food Festival in the parking lot and a riot breaks out.

Episode 23: A Fistful of Paintballs (May/05/2011)
Once again a paintball tournament is held in the halls and classrooms of Greendale Community College. Taking a western turn, the study group makes unlikely allegiances whilst trying to survive the backstabbing of disloyal companions and the mysterious stranger who is hunting them down.

Episode 24: For a Few Paintballs More (May/12/2011)
As the Greendale year-end paintball extravaganza continues, the game takes a dramatic turn with new intruders arriving on the scene. The study group battles it out on various fronts and despite their arguments over strategy - they are all in agreement that they must unite to defeat the enemy.

Community Season 3 Episode Guide



Episode 1: Biology 101 (Sep/22/2011)
As the Greendale study group gathers in the library, they wonder whether they will see their old friend Pierce, who left the study group in a huff after last spring's paintball game. Jeff quickly butts heads with their new biology teacher Professor Kane and is kicked out of class - leading to a crisis within the group about whether they will all stay together. Dean Pelton is feeling empowered after a summer at "Dean Camp" but finds a new nemesis in Vice Dean Laybourne, dean of the highly regarded Air Conditioning Repair Annex at Greendale.

Episode 2: Geography of Global Conflict (Sep/29/2011)
As Chang settles into his new job as a campus security officer, Britta is overwhelmed with feelings of civil disobedience when a friend is taken hostage in a foreign country. Meanwhile, Annie enlists the study group to help her defeat her new "friend" Annie Kim in a Model United Nations competition, while Professor Cligoris struggles to maintain decorum.

Episode 3: Competitive Ecology (Oct/06/2011)
As the study group sets to work on their first big assignment in biology - a terrarium - they are driven to distraction over how they should pair off to do their project. Elsewhere on campus, Chang (Ken Jeong) patrols the school grounds looking for signs of trouble and imagines himself in a noir detective mystery.

Episode 4: Remedial Chaos Theory (Oct/13/2011)
When Troy and Abed decide to share an apartment, they host a party for the group, which takes on an altered reality as several scenarios play out.

Episode 5: Horror Fiction In Seven Spooky Steps (Oct/27/2011)
When Britta runs anonymous personality tests on everyone for a psychology class, one of the test results seems to indicate that someone in the group is deeply disturbed. At the group's Halloween pre-party, she enlists Jeff to help draw out the potential sociopath and the two of them lure everyone into telling their favorite horror stories. The results are spookey.

Episode 6: Advanced Gay (Nov/03/2011)
Pierce throws a party to celebrate his business success, but when his elderly father shows up, he puts a damper on the festivities. Meanwhile, Troy becomes a hot commodity for Vice Dean Laybourne and a janitor.

Episode 7: Studies in Modern Movement (Nov/10/2011)
The group tries to help Annie move in with Troy and Abed but things go awry when she becomes frustrated by their lifestyle. Meanwhile, Dean Pelton blackmails Jeff into spending the afternoon with him.

Episode 8: Documentary Filmmaking: Redux (Nov/17/2011)
Dean Pelton directs a commercial starring the study group and a collection of the school's most colorful characters. Abed, meanwhile, shoots a behind-the-scenes documentary of the entire affair.

Episode 9: Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism (Dec/01/2011)
Jeff and Shirley bond over foosball; after breaking Abed's limited edition "Dark Knight'' DVD, Annie claims that someone broke into the apartment and stole it.

When the Glee club goes missing, the study group is asked to fill in their positions to save the annual Holiday Pageant

Episode 11: Urban Matrimony And The Sandwich Arts (Mar/15/2012)
Andre asks Shirley to remarry him and they set a date. Annie and Britta prep for the wedding while Jeff prepares the wedding speech. Shirley and Pierce present the idea of a sandwich shop to be added to the Greendale cafeteria to Dean Pelton.

Jeff becomes even more narcissistic than usual while Abed develops an obsession for celebrity impersonators.

When a Subway open's in Greendale's cafeteria, Pierce and Shirley plot to shut it down. Meanwhile, Vice Principle Laybourne starts to turn Abed and Troy against each other while in the midst of another school-wise blanket fort.

Episode 14: Pillows & Blankets (Apr/05/2012)
The epic battle of Pillowtown vs. Blanketsburg continues at Greendale. The group is forced to take sides, while Jeff tries to form a compromise between Troy and Abed.

Episode 15: Origins Of Vampire Mythology (Apr/12/2012)
While Annie, Troy and Abed try to help Britta stay away from an old ex, Jeff and Shirley attempt to find out who he is. Elsewhere, Vice Dean Laybourne turns to Dean Pelton for help with his campaign to get Troy to join the Air Conditioning Repair School.

Episode 16: Virtual System Analysis (Apr/19/2012)
Annie and Abed spend some quality time together in the Dreamatorium for a simulation of "Inspector Spacetime". The game soon transforms into an examination of not only the study group, but also a deeper look into Abed's mind and personality.

Episode 17: Basic Lupine Urology (Apr/26/2012)
When the group's science project is destroyed, they decide to hold a trial to find the criminal, which a reluctant Professor Kane(Michael K. Williams)presides. While Troy and Abed believe they have discovers the perpetrator, Jeff soon realizes there's much more to the story than is believed.

Episode 18: Course Listing Unavailable (May/03/2012)
While the study group deals with the death of a beloved classmate, Chang finds an opportunity to take control over campus security when the memorial service transforms into a riot.

When Abed becomes convinced that there's a conspiracy and Dean Pelton is an imposter, he is required to see a therapist or risk being sent to jail.

Episode 20: Digital Estate Planning (May/17/2012)
The gang has to help Pierce win a videogame so that he can claim his father's inheritance.

Episode 21: The First Chang Dynasty (May/17/2012)
The study group plans to rescue Dean Pelton with an elaborate heist during Chang's birthday party.

Episode 22: Introduction To Finality (May/17/2012)
Shirley and Pierce's sandwich shop is chosen to replace the campus Subway, but a conflict ensues between the partners and Jeff has to argue on Shirley's behalf in Dean Pelton's version of court. Meanwhile, Troy is recruited by the Air Conditioning Repair Annex.

Community Season 4 Episode Guide



Episode 1: History 101 (Feb/07/2013)
The Study Group returns from summer break ready to tackle their fourth year of Community College. Jeff is particularly focused on graduating and is just a few credits away. When there is a mix-up with a history class registration, Dean Pelton institutes an elaborate physical competition for class space. Meanwhile, Britta helps Abed deal with the anxiety he is experiencing over the thought of the study group graduating and breaking up.

Episode 2: Paranormal Parentage (Feb/14/2013)
While on their way to Vicki's (Danielle Kaplowitz) Halloween costume party, the study group makes a detour to Pierce's mansion when they learn he accidentally locked himself in his panic room. As Pierce languishes behind locked doors, the group searches the dark and eerie house for the book that holds the code to the door. Along the way they encounter a few of the house's secrets.

Episode 3: Conventions Of Time & Space (Feb/21/2013)
In support of Troy and Abed, the study group heads to InspecTiCon - the annual Inspector Spacetime Convention. Trouble begins when the group meets up with Abed's email "pen-pal," Toby Davies (guest star Matt Lucas), who's shared passion for Inspector Spacetime comes between Abed and Troy. Meanwhile, Annie leaves the convention floor to enjoy the luxuries of the hotel while Jeff relaxes in the bar with Lauren, an Inspector Spacetime fan (Tricia Helfer).

Episode 4: Alternative History of the German Invasion (Feb/28/2013)
After losing out in registration for "The History of Ice Cream," the study group begins their European History class with Professor Noel Cornwallis (Malcolm McDowell). To make matters worse, the group encounters the return of the arrogant German students from last season, which Jeff and Shirley faced over the foosball table. Meanwhile, much to Dean Pelton's dismay, Chang makes his return to campus.

Episode 5: Cooperative Escapism In Familial Relations (Mar/07/2013)
The study group heads to Shirley's for a Bennett-filled thanksgiving, which is so awkward that they immediately begin plotting their escape. Meanwhile, Jeff heads to his estranged father William's house (guest star James Brolin), whom he hasn't seen since he was a child.

Episode 6: Advanced Documentary Filmmaking (Mar/14/2013)
As the campus strives to get to the bottom of Chang's memory loss, Dean Pelton enlists the group to help secure a grant for further medical research and Abed films the activities for a documentary. Jeff, however, suspects there is more to Chang's memory loss than meets the eye.

Episode 7: Economics of Marine Biology (Mar/21/2013)
Dean Pelton sets his sights on "whale" (otherwise known as a wealthy potential student) and enlists Jeff, Britta and Annie to help in his recruiting efforts. Pierce finds out and is incensed. Meanwhile, Abed begins a new Greendale fraternity, while Troy and Shirley begin a physical education instruction class, in which Shirley excels and Troy struggles.

Episode 8: Herstory of Dance (Apr/04/2013)
When Dean Pelton plans a "Sadie Hawkins" dance at Greendale, Britta plans a competing "Sophie B. Hawkins" dance in protest – but the joke is on Britta – who has confused Sophie B. Hawkins with Susan B. Anthony.

Episode 9: Intro To Felt Surrogacy (Apr/11/2013)
The study group takes a wild balloon ride that crash lands in the woods and they end up spending some quality time together with a friendly mountain man (Jason Alexander, "Seinfeld").

Episode 10: Intro The Knots (Apr/18/2013)
Jeff organizes a lovely holiday gathering at his apartment but Annie secretly invites Professor Cornwallis, to get in his good graces. When it becomes apparent that Professor Cornwallis intends to give them a bad grade on their joint History paper, the atmosphere quickly deteriorates and the group takes decisive action.

Episode 11: Basic Human Anatomy (Apr/25/2013)
When Annie and Shirley learn that Leonard is actually holding the spot as the class valedictorian, they join forces to bring him down. Meanwhile, Troy and Abed reminisce about one of their favorite body switching films and when they inadvertently re-enact a critical scene, things start becoming a little funky at Greendale.

Episode 12: Heroic Organs (May/02/2013)
Abed, becomes convinced that the study group was destined to meet at Greendale and pieces together everyone’s past – revealing that their lives have been intertwined for years. Meanwhile, Chang plots to destroy Greendale once and for all.

Episode 13: Advanced Introduction to Finality (May/09/2013)
Jeff achieves enough credits to graduate and contemplates graduation - and beyond. Meanwhile, the study group revisits the "darkest timeline".

Community Season 5 Episode Guide



Episode 1: Repilot (Jan/02/2014)
Jeff returns to Greendale when his former law partner Alan Connor recruits him to gather evidence for a lawsuit he is pursuing. Dean Pelton is thrilled to see Jeff back at Greendale. Thinking he is there to help save the school, he quickly calls the study group back together - surprising Jeff with a reunion.

Episode 2: Introduction to Teaching (Jan/02/2014)
Jeff settles into a new job at Greendale and adjusts to the expectations of being on staff - Professor Hickey shows him the ropes and shares some pointers on how to manage unruly and demanding students. Meanwhile, Abed convinces the study group to take a new class, "Nicolas Cage: Good or Bad," with Professor Garrity.

Episode 3: Basic Intergluteal Numismatics (Jan/09/2014)
Everyone is up in arms when an anonymous bandit starts dropping coins down people's pants. While Dean Pelton mobilizes the school to investigate, Jeff and Annie pursue their own theories - methodically interrogating staff members. When someone eventually confesses, the school heaves a sigh of relief, but Jeff thinks there is more to the story than meets the eye.

Episode 4: Cooperative Polygraphy (Jan/16/2014)
After Pierce Hawthorne's unexpected passing, a team of investigators headed by the no-nonsense Mr. Stone, arrives at Greendale to submit the study group to lie detector tests before they can be considered for distributions under the will. Tensions mount as Mr. Stone digs in with the questions and the group members learn a little more about one another than they wished.

Episode 5: Geothermal Escapism (Jan/23/2014)
As Troy prepares to leave Greendale, Abed organizes an epic going away activity befitting his best friend's departure. What starts out as a fun little game grows into a heated, high-stakes competition destined to make history at Greendale.

Episode 6: Analysis of Cork-Based Networking (Jan/30/2014)
It's time for the midterm dance and Annie sets about getting the Greendale cafeteria ready for the festivities. She and Professor Hickey team to navigate Greendale's custodial corridors of power and must negotiate with Bob Waite, the politically savvy Greendale head custodian, and his right-hand man Lapari. They must also contend with Debra Chambers, Greendale's head of I.T. and Waldron, Greendale's head of parking, in what becomes an increasingly complex hierarchy of staff.

Episode 7: Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality (Feb/27/2014)
Jeff tries to help Professor Duncan seduce Britta, who is surprised by some old friends. Abed accidentally ruins Professor Hickey's drawings, during his punishment the two end up spending some overdue time together. Chang performs a off the cuff performance.

Episode 8: App Development and Condiments (Mar/06/2014)
Dean Pelton invites two designers to Greendale to beta test their new social networking Application. What starts as a fun social interaction of ranking classmates turns into an all-out class war as Greendale students compete for the highest score. Jeff and Shirley battle for supremacy, while Britta rails against the very concept. Meanwhile, Professor Hickey goes underground - literally - until the whole thing blows over.

Episode 9: VCR Maintenance and Educational Publishing (Mar/13/2014)
When Jeff, Shirley and Professor Hickey happen upon a hidden cache of textbooks, the discovery leads to some interesting power shifts as the group struggles with how to monetize their windfall. Meanwhile, Abed and Annie decide it's time for a new roommate. Abed wants his friend Rachel to move in, while Annie wants her brother to move in. When they decide to play an old VCR game to determine the winner, things get a little intense.

Episode 10: Advanced Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (Mar/20/2014)
Professor Hickey reveals that his estranged son Hank did not invite him to his grandson's birthday. The group decides to help father and son reunite through a rousing game of "Dungeons and Dragons."

Episode 11: G.I. Jeff (Apr/03/2014)
The study group gets 'animated' in the vein of the 1980s 'G.I. Joe' series.

Episode 12: Basic Story (Apr/10/2014)
As Subway makes plans to purchase the Greendale campus for their own Subway University, the study group members contemplate the end of an era. Jeff considers a generous offer of employment he has received from Subway, while Britta considers an offer she has received from Jeff. Meanwhile, Dean Pelton tells Annie and Abed about Greendale's first Dean Russell Borchert, which leads to an interesting and potentially lucrative discovery in the walls of Greendale.

Episode 13: Basic Sandwich (Apr/17/2014)
The group learns the history of Greendale's first Dean, Russell Borchert, a reclusive, wealthy genius who disappeared amid a personal scandal in the 1970s. Once Shirley and Hickey locate the school's blueprints, Annie and Abed lead the search for Borchert's old computer lab, which was sealed off years ago. Subway returns to Greendale with plans to take over the campus for a Subway University and they enlist Chang to secretly keep tabs on the study group. Meanwhile, Jeff and Britta make a grown-up decision about their futures.
