Season 1

Episode 1: (Oct/17/2011)
Alice turns 30. The three have a drug-addled threesome. Alice gets pregnant. She and Mitch decide to get rid of it. Mitch changes his mind. Mitch and Richie race to stop Alice at the clinic. More happens but that would spoil it before you see it.

Episode 2: (Oct/17/2011)
And now our threesome have to figure out how to explain their unusually triangular relationship to the world. And most crucially – to Alice’s domineering and not entirely nice mother Lorraine (who is not fond of Mitch but adores Richie). But how to explain the threeway daddy-mummy-daddy set up?

Meanwhile, Mitch and Richie (having all jointly sworn off drink and drugs in solidarity with Alice) stumble across a stash of drink and drugs. Will they be strong enough to resist temptation whilst also assembling all the new nursery flat-pack? Or is it just an immutable fact of life that flat-pack is far more easily assembled on drugs?

Episode 3: (Oct/24/2011)
Alice, Mitch and Richie attend their first antenatal class. To everyone’s surprise Alice and Richie are hopeless and Mitch is an amazing proto-father. Alice and Richie go into panic mode about their suitability as future parents, and so Mitch entrusts them with a robot baby from the antenatal class to practice on. All they have to do is feed it, rock it, change it – and not totally destroy it.

Richie also meets – or rather pulls – a genuinely amazing man, Dave The Builder (guest star Adam Garcia). Richie likes him, but only to a point – he’s not grown-up enough to have a grown-up relationship. Can Mitch persuade Richie that maybe it’s time to give love a chance?

Episode 4: (Oct/31/2011)
Mitch still hasn’t got a job, and now his lack of funds is starting to become a problem. Alice needs reliable support more than anything right now – the full reality of what’s about to pop out of her in six months time is starting to hit home, and with the impending 12 Week Scan they’re actually going to get to see their baby for the first time. It’s time for Mitch to step up to the plate. Unfortunately for Mitch, he spectacularly fails to do so.

Which is when Ben turns up. Ben is tall, handsome, rich, charming, successful and Alice’s ex from four and a half years ago. Back in the day, Alice dumped Ben then started dating Mitch, and when Mitch actually meets the man who he replaced his insecurity starts going into overload. Ben is everything a woman could want in a man – but surely when it comes down to it, Alice will always chose her Mitch?

Episode 5: (Nov/07/2011)
To Alice’s amazement – Richie and Dave (Adam Garcia) are now dating! Proper boyfriends and everything. With Richie’s birthday approaching a day of fun, fun, fun is being planned. But when Dave reveals he has alternative plans for Richie, tensions arise between the friends as Alice and Mitch conspire to keep Richie to themselves.

When plans backfire, Richie ends up leaving Alice and Mitch to spend the day with Dave, who unveils his own special birthday surprise. But that means Richie leaving Alice and Mitch on the night they’ve planned so hard for so long to make special. Who is Richie going to choose?

Episode 6: (Nov/14/2011)
The mothers are coming! All the mothers; Mitch, Richie’s and Alice’s, all together, all for the first time.

Alice, just a month from popping, has decided to throw a baby-shower, and so Lorraine (Alice’s mum, Pauline McLynn), Sue (Mitch’s mum) and Jenny (Richie’s mum) converge on the flat to deluge her with presents and attention. Alice in turn has taken to baking, not-swearing and dressing like a proper woman. Mitch and Richie are horrified.

Mitch and Richie escape for the evening to a local bar, and run into Wendy; a ballsy, feisty, fabulous girl who reminds them very much of a pre-pregnancy Alice. Spending time with Wendy is wonderful, but it’s like cheating on Alice. Mitch and Richie vow to call off the 'affair', but when Princess Lullaby Dreamtime – a nauseating baby shower gift – arrives in the flat, the combination of that, Alice and The Mothers are more than Mitch and Richie can bear. How long can they hold out before they’re drawn back into Wendy’s arms, and how will Alice react when the two women finally meet?

Episode 7: (Nov/21/2011)
B-Day is nearly upon us! Just two weeks until Alice gives birth. To celebrate they throw a ‘Final Push’ fancy dress party – one last blast of chaos before the baby comes – to which Alice wears what is undoubtedly the finest pregnancy fancy dress costume of all time. Their friends are there, their mums are there – and Alice unexpectedly goes into labour early in the middle of it all.

Season 2

Episode 1: Back to School (Oct/01/2012)
Mitch has decided it’s time to get a career, and fancies training as a teacher. The problem is he doesn’t have the grades to get into teacher training college, so has to go back to school to re-sit the exam.

Mitch finds himself in a classroom full of sixteen year olds, including bad-boy Chris who quickly leads Mitch astray. It’s up to Mitch’s naively optimistic young teacher and his ‘parents’ Alice and Richie to keep him on the straight and narrow, so that the student may yet become the teacher.

Episode 2: Vacuum (Oct/08/2012)
It’s Richie’s first day back at work after paternity leave, and Mitch and Alice are worried they won’t be able to cope without him. Richie is more worried about his idiotic new PA Billy (Jonny Sweet).

After experiencing the First Day Back From Hell, Richie returns exhausted to the flat, only to get into an argument with Mitch for not appreciating his efforts as a domestic goddess. After the argument unexpectedly escalates into accidental violence, Richie discovers that only Billy can help undo the mess his home life has become.

Episode 3: Alice's Friend (Oct/15/2012)
With Mitch back at school and Richie back at work, Alice decides it’s time to make a new friend: a mum-chum.

After taking Lily for a check-up, Alice hits it off with Dr Julie Brennan (Ruth Bradley) and acquires a high status new friend. Julie comes as a package with her useless husband Colin (Robert Webb) – a man so inept that he has been barred from having anything to do with the raising of his children. However, when Mitch and Richie discover that Colin has a dark secret, Alice finds herself in a tricky situation...

Episode 4: Photograph (Oct/22/2012)
Alice, Mitch & Richie decide to get Lily’s photo taken – a beautiful family portrait to capture this exciting new phase of their lives.

However, on their way to the photographers Alice makes an enemy of the pedantic and punctilious security guard Mr Scrutton (Bill Bailey) and the day descends into chaos when Scrutton detains the trio for shoplifting and Alice makes the worst mistake a new mother can...

Episode 5: Future (Oct/29/2012)
Alice, Mitch and Richie get accidentally trapped in a rental storage unit over the bank holiday weekend. Left imprisoned for several hours, the three worry that they may never be rescued, and start to contemplate their own mortality.

In the process, Mitch insists that they unburden themselves of any secrets that may remain between them, but once the floodgates open none of them are too happy with the home-truths that come rushing out.

Episode 6: Dad (Nov/05/2012)
Sandwich Harry, the demon ex-boyfriend who totally broke Richie’s heart four years ago, is back on the scene, and Richie is determined to see him to get some closure. The spanner in the works is the sudden arrival of a mild mannered middle-aged Persian man called Mo (Peter Polycarpou), who turns out to be Richie’s real father.

Richie finds himself lying about who everyone really is and dragging Alice and Mitch into a complicated web of deceit. Things eventually come to a head over a dramatic dinner party when Mo admits he hasn’t been entirely truthful about everything either...

Episode 7: I Don't (Nov/12/2012)
Alice and Mitch have finally decided to get married. There’s only one problem: they discover that they are already married…to each other!

Alice and Mitch tied the knot on a drunken Las Vegas trip two years ago, and have absolutely no memory of the event. But Alice and Mitch are determined to have a proper wedding. So there’s only on thing for it: They’re going to have to get divorced first, and do it in dazzling ‘Threesome’ style.

The series ends in spectacular fashion with tears, laughter, surprise, disaster – and a horse.
