Hart of Dixie Premiered on The CW on September 26, 2011



Fast-talking New Yorker and brand new doctor Zoe Hart has it all figured out - after graduating top of her class from medical school, she'll follow in her father's footsteps and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon. But when her dreams fall apart, Zoe decides to accept an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work with him at his small practice in Bluebell, Alabama. Zoe arrives in this small Gulf Coast town only to find that Harley has passed away and left his half of the medical practice to her in his will. She quickly finds that Southern hospitality isn't always so hospitable - the other doctor in town, Brick Breeland, is less than pleased to be sharing the practice with this young outsider, and his daughter, Lemon, is a Southern belle whose sweet disposition turns sour when she meets Zoe. Zoe's only allies are the mayor, former football star Lavon Hayes, her bad-boy neighbor Wade Kinsella, and handsome lawyer George Tucker - who just happens to be Lemon's fiance. Zoe is out of her element and ready to pack her bags, but a surprise visit by her snobby New York mother leads to Zoe's decision to stay in Bluebell for a while, discovering small-town life and a side of herself she hadn't known was there.

The series stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart, Jamie King as Lemon Breeland, Wilson Bethel as Wade Kinsella, Cress Williams as Lavon Hayes, McKaley Miller as Rose and Scott Porter as George Tucker. HART OF DIXIE is from Bonanza Productions Inc., in association with Fake Empire, Warner Bros. Who would of thought that was Burt Reynolds but Zoe's face was amusing and whistling Dixie with her but was priceless, finding out that the doctor that left her his half of the practice was her father was a nice way to end the first episode

i like show like this that down to earth but my concern this might not survive the first season. I am glad she help deliver the baby of the girl but stand up to her abusive mother was priceless.

I really enjoyed the series premier.  Standing up to the mom was great!  She did it well.  Burt was hysterical!!  Pet Alligator my foot.  But having an NFL star for the mayor was priceless.  I'm glad Hart and the Lebron clicked.  She's gonna need some friends.

Well she's starting to catch on that medicine isn't just diagnosing.  Sometimes it's listening.

Wrecking the float to stop the parade was great.  She didn't make any friends though...   Lemon just feels threatened.  Not sure why.  Hart doesn't care two rips about Lemon and why should she...although why lemon is all worried about the mayor is beyond me.  What with her being all Engaged...and all.

I'm glad her and brelin have come to a truce of some sort.  Kinda annoying though that Zoe really did talk him through that procedure and he just froze her out.  Of course she didn't go to the Hospital or to see the wife.  No one likes her, she doesn't know anyone and for all pretense and purpose, the patient didn't even know she was his doctor.  ALTHOUGH, she should have gone to the hospital.  Live and learn.  

George needs to stand up to lemon more. and Levon Hayes needs to get over the Debutante Lemon and move on.  Glad though that George circumvented Dee dee/di di and had her stay in town!! haha

Brick following Zoe's instructions made a nice change but taking the credit was predictable and Lemon giving Didi some bad advice about Lavon was amusing but her face when it backfired was priceless

IDK they've been at it for awhile.  Alot of tension between them.  

Loved that Hart wanted to "let go" with the guy.  It would have been interesting to see them together....  yum yum

i kind of feel bad for her boyfriend as he like hart and can't do anything about it because he's with Lemon. It's annoying when audience know the secret but the character don't.

It does make for some annoying moments.  At least this episode had Hart and the other doc working together a bit easier.  Hart needs to get laid though.

Lemon needs to pick.  Levon Hayes, or George!  Pick already.   She's emotionally tettering and it's annoying.

This was one of the worst episodes so far.  These are the reasons:

1)  Lemon's outfit when she was talking to the girls on the couch about the bridge. HORRID
2)  The bridge Vs a Road.  Southerners are NOT that backwards ;/  Give us a road to starbucks any day.
3) Lemon's accent and well basically LEMON in general.  She was shallow, needy, insecure, and annoying.
4) Zoe started an unnecessary rumor because she's still incapable of knowing when to just accept and go forward.
5) Zoe not even knowing it was sunday and church was in.  Seriously she can't be that daft.
6) Wasn't the Nurse in last weeks episode?  But we were introduced this week?  
7) HATS  ;/   Again, southerners, no so much with the hats.
8) George apologized, and I don't think he needed too!!

Blah!!  Hated it.  Grrr

Ok let me say i actually liked this episode i found it amusing. So let me start with your points

1) Who care about what she wearing i rather see her acting ability rather than outfits
2) Well it my understand the town wanted keep townie feeling and lemon point about what would happen to the town if road were built was reasonable it would change the town.
3) Agreed she is annoying
4) She didn't start the rumour the people of the town did
5) Well they don't have church services in new york and she's not a church person
6)This happens on tv shows basically they filmed that episode before they filmed last week episode.
7) Well it was suppose show tradition

Okay Bala I accept your rebuttle and I counter it with:  

1)  her outfit was offensive.  She looked like a golden girl so I was distracted and couldn't focus on her horrible acting.
2) I agree, but progress doesn't mean loss of unity.  She can build the road and still preserve the historic feel.

5) I figured that but everyone knows on Sunday people go to church. It wasn't a HUGE step for her when she went up to the church and HEARD the music or talking people would be inside. I mean...common.

loved the blue prank.  For the first time I didn't hate Lemon.  She acted like a human being and it was refreshing.  I wouldn't have put up with Zoe's friend.  Not listening, throwing a party doomed to fail, judging everyone and then sleeping with her Guy.  Unkewl!   Nope I wouldn't have forgiven the last one at all.    I'm glad though Z and the mayor figured it out and she made it up to him.

I did enjoy this episode but it was a shame she didn't make it home.  Planksgiving was cute and has some meaning.  I could see pirates being off the coast.  The carolina's had them.  Wreckage for proof.   

GO LEMON   she totally called george's parents out of their selfishnes. They are horrid people.

Wearing that dress for a whole week was great and I'm glad she's learning who her people are.  Took long enough.  Lemon is almost thawing....


Point of clarity:    By the show timeline it's only Feb and the Dogwood at the beginning of the show doesn't bloom until April/may and when the heat comes it looses all the blooms.    Dagblast it.  The south isn't in bloom year round.

Zoe hiding her new friendship with AnnaBeth was amusing but what Lavon said when she told him was priceless and then being dumped when she became Memory Matron was a little predictable but Zoe taking the heat about the key chain was nice consideing what she had just done

Lemon is uncharacteristically jealous.  Just because she cheated and feels bad about it doesn't mean that George would.  Of course Zoe probablly *shouldn't* haven't gotten carried away with her inpromptu speech, but still. It was complimentary.

I think Zoe would call her father for many people who were in need, not just George.  Wade needs to grow up and start doing something with himself, or he'll always be on the outside.  Lemon needs to let go of ALLLLL her anger.  Wow sister got issues!

I think some major points have been missed here. George has strong feelings for Zoe that he won't admit to. He's a good guy, loyal and is going to marry his high school sweet heart even if he knows deep down they've less in common than they used to. He's clearly more suited to Zoe, but his loyalty to Lemon will keep him where he is....(well until he finds out she cheated and then I'm sure we are going to see some fireworks!) This was definitely highlighted in the last episode were he refused to ask Zoe to call her father knowing how difficult that would be for her. He put her before his very ill father. Then, the hand holding, at the end, cemented that!

But, the one that most impressed me in this episode was Wade. He clearly feels that he is not good enough for Zoe and, in fact, he feels that George is the better man. Which is a shame, it's a pity Wade doesn't believe in himself more because he's probably got the best heart of them all. I think he genuinely cares for Zoe much more than anyone else. The fact that he asked Zoe to call her farther for George was pretty telling too.

I can't believe we have to wait 5+ weeks for this to come back.....noooooooooooo
