Arctic Air Premieres on CBC on January 10, 2012



ARCTIC AIR is a one-hour adventure series set in the booming Arctic, about a maverick airline and the unconventional family who runs it.

On the ground, Bobby, the headstrong business partner, struggles to save the airline from crashing financially while Mel, the cantankerous co-owner, keeps his crew of pilots in the air. Caught in the crossfire is Mel's hotshot pilot daughter Krista.

Each ARCTIC AIR episode will stand alone and feature a flying mission. The pilots take on different assignments each week. Deliver cagey prospectors to a top secret diamond mining site. Rescue a group of scientists from a remote snowed-in research camp. Water bomb a raging forest fire. Escort Japanese tourists to polar bear country and make sure they come back alive. Airdrop an emergency generator to a community without heat or power. Airlift a pregnant mother and deliver her baby en route.

Over the season this character-based drama will deliver hard-hitting emotional stories - from the romantic entanglement of Bobby and Krista, to the conflicts that spark between Bobby and his competitors, his business partners and even his extended family. There's a new gold rush heating up under the permafrost, and there are new fortunes of diamonds and oil to claim.

Well this look like good Canadian drama but they really need to work on the suspense. It's not fast paced as i would like but nice show to watch when your bored.

Krista's flying skills were impressed with only one engine that was misfiring and it was nice to see her in something different than Sanctuary and you just knew there would be drama with the pregnant girl and the flight but naming the baby Melvin was nice gustier

Yes but you just knew there would something wrong with Melvin causing that guy to take over and it be interesting whether he will allow Kirsta to take over or that other guy

Bobby gambling Mel's plane in a high-stakes poker game was crazy but he should of walked away when he said and Krista's having to put her pilot skills to the test again when the DC-3 runs out of fuel is a little to much considering it's twice in two episodes

Bobby was unfortunate to put his ex wife and son in danger when he took the hijacker to her dad's home not knowing they was there but stopping Krista from getting the gun did seem stupid and what a moron getting Bobby to fly the DC3 when he said he couldn't fly it

It's a good job the mechanic, Kirby trusted his gut rather than the pressure gauge and Nelson was lucky to get his job back after all his screw ups but that was some walk of 1000 miles

Arctic Air could do with a helicopter for some of the emergencies but the improvised emergencies transport was impressive and how ironic that the pills came in on their planes, saving Bobby's ass and stopping the last shipment was a risky thing to do considering what they were going to do to Bobby

Bobby finding his dads plane after all those years was nice but the faked he survived 14 days while they searched for him was sad and Cece was lucky to survive

Well that was one hell of a trip but look like Bobby was late about realise his feelings for her and i don't think it's good idea to sleep with your room-mate but his dance in morning was amusing.

What a end to the first season with four of them surviving the crash but Mel's complications during surgery is one hell of a cliffhanger and Blake catching Krista kissing Bobby after agreeing to marry him will cause some trouble

All the TV guides i have checked only have ten episodes but there is one comment on their homepage saying waiting to the fall for it to return but that could be wishful thinking

Bobby risking his own life to rescue Anna was great but the delay meant they couldn't fly out was unfortunate and Dev dropping the radio when they were heading in the wrong direction was quick thinking

Yes but you can still see they haven't recovered from first season with Mel being a bit nervous go back . it was good returning episode .

Saying in her own language "must be white" when someone was knocking the door was amusing and the eco-terrorist warning him before the second bombing was lucky for him and talk about a close call on the plane

Are you notice change in direction this season it been more action/suspence compared to first season let's see what happens next week but         
Krista punching him after she saved him was rather amusing what an ungrateful person.

The hunter standing on a beer trap outside the cabin was amusing and nice to see Mel back in the air but quick thinking to adjust the scope, Nelson was lucky to be alive thanks to Bobby and his sister

I was wondering what the real estate agent whispered in Dev's ear but finding out why it was so cheap was disturbing but the girlfriend tagging along was amusing and the way Blake disarmed that guy was impressive

Blake's friend joining the crew was interesting as he would of spent the night with one of them if it wasn't for his temper and then taking a plane drunk was just stupid, Jim coming back to win that first boxing match was impressive as that first punch dazed him but betting against him was risky as it wasn't his money

Rita being the one the retired Marshal was after was a surprise but an even bigger surprise was the kid she killed was his son and Krista helping Loreen arrange a traditional burial for the bones of her great-great-grandfather is bound to upset the other family members

Well we finally meet Kirsta mother and what a piece of work she was choosing to enjoy her life while she abandons her kid but the fact she left some money was nice gesture but doesn't make up for 25 year absence.

Meeting Krista mother was interesting as she looked like she was hiding something but I cant believe how selfish she was leaving just to have a good time, I didn't expect the bucket list but the bar fight was amusing as it was Marie who punch first and Connor referring to Bobby as a sperm donor was surprise

No news on show suddenly it returns -when there no news i assume the show has been cancelled.

On some show promote - it return next year given no announcement i just assumed it hadn't been pick up.

I really enjoyed this episode so many amusing moment so i won't ruin it but that one hell of a consequence of a fling that guy was massive but Dev trying to kick him off the plane was very amusing. Kirsten get stuck in a damaged plane was impressive how she landed as well as survived as well as flying it through a storm to get to yellowknife .

Well it shows prejudice still exist in small town and i am glad that bobby managed to get to bottom of that situation fall through the ice was scary it was good thing he managed to get out with help of Connor.

Mel decking Kimbo was great but you knew it would come back on them and wouldn't surprise be he was behind the hit and run which put Petra in a coma, Krista having to make the tough call to leave the climber another night was the right thing to do but with the amount of climber to rescue the crew are going to be pushed to their limit during the high-altitude rescue and being a in two parts you knew it would be a cliffhanger literally

What a twist with Tag hanging off the cliff at the end of the last episode and now with the plane crashing with everyone else on-board but finishing the show before they got off the mountain was too early for a series finale

Waited to watch both episode together but good cliffhanger but i think they really rush it at end but we kind of knew where it was all going with all characters and fact nothing left unresolved was great.
