Chicago Fire Premiered on NBC on October 10, 2012



No job is more stressful, dangerous or exhilarating than those of the Firefighters, Rescue Squad and Paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. These are the courageous men and women who forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way. But the enormous responsibilities of the job also take a personal toll.

With big reputations and hefty egos, the pressure to perform and make split-second decisions is bound to put squad members at odds. When a tragedy claims one of their own, there's plenty of guilt and blame to go around. In the middle of a divorce, Lt. Matthew Casey tries to go about business as usual, but can't help butting heads with the brash Lt. Kelly Severide of the Rescue Squad - and each blames the other for their fallen team member. I cant believe the cops didn't clear the room before the medics arrived and that was a close call with the girl from from the car crash but what a way to take the driver down when he ran

Yes but these thing normally happen but it nice they managed bury the difference by the end up the episode. So we have two team, fire fighter and a rescue team which is different from most other fire fighting shows. It does remind me third watch but it was good first episode

I was actually disappointed that we didn't get more info. It was at times difficult to follow if you never watched a firefighter show before.
Also, we didn't get any info into their background and that made it dissapointing to me. It felt like I was watching the tenth episode after I missed the first half of the season.

Well i am glad he stood up to that cop but i am curious to see what he does to him . The guy impaled on the gate look awful what a stupid guy trying commit suicide with him not thinking about not landing on the gate.   .

Well it such a shame they had a recording of the decision regarding not going to save the homeless man it was tough call but finding out what happen to his friend was sad. It look like that cop is cause more trouble for him.

Using the fire hose like a pole to get down to the men trapped was ingenious and the randy drunk guy grabbing Gabriela's ass was amusing to watch as he got a hand full but the case with the two teenagers who were pinned in the vehicle was tragic as only one survived

The drunk driver turning out to be the son of a dirty cop who covered up the evidence was diabolical as the accident paralysed a 16-year-old boy and the Chief having Casey's back in the bar was great but I wouldn't want the dirty cop on my back with a temper like that

Chief Boden refusing to apologise I think was right as his men saved three lives and the flash-over would of killed his own men if they had gone back in and they should get CCTV camera out side the fire station to catch the dirty cop or better still run him over with a fire truck

Casey confronting Voight in front of all his officers about his harassing tactics was little dangerous and ending up paying the price was predictable, that was some rescue from the roof and Severide finding his arm failing him during a rescue was bound to happen sooner or later

Detective Voight willing to stops at nothing to get him to retract his statement is going to make life hard so I wouldn't  of had a problem if the fire crew put on ski masks and took out a dirty cop but I have a feeling it's not the end

Boden recognising the kid from the last fire was great but Leslie helping Kelly pass the drug test was a surprise and Casey delivering the baby was impressive but the silence while waiting for the baby to cry was awesome

I'm not surprised Peter was deeply upset when sees the remains of the dead body of a young victim but questioning his future as a fire-fighter was sad and Dawson and Shay confronting the mother they suspected was abusing her 6-year-old girl leading to the woman resorting to dire actions I thought was going to make life hard until the girl told them

The suspected teenage fire-bug being at the last few fires is too much of a coincidence but if he didn't start them he must know who did and Jose being forced to go on disability and leave the fire fighting behind was sad, Kelly turning down a date with Renee after he rescued her was interesting as she came back a second time

In the episode where Casey almost died, the son of the women he saved, helped him to get the detective on tape while he asked the guy to go after Casey.
He got arrested.

Wow what a dream about Leon but the stealing of the $50,000 diamond necklace would make you think Cruz was responsible for trying to help his brother but the thermal camera recorder was clever and that fire came in handy for Cruz and Leon but what a great cliffhanger

Kelly's concern for Shay seemed a little shallow at first like he was more worried about getting his next fix, taking the fence to help with the rescue was amusing and quick thinking on how to deal with the dog while rescuing the patient

Cruz rescuing the dog was nice but putting himself and his fellow firefighters in jeopardy was careless but the homeless guy not allowing them to test his blood after Leslie got injected was worrying and I wonder what was in the safe

I don't understand the tention between Gabby and Lt hottie.  They act like they are doing something wrong (takiing a pic infront of a door they bought together) and in reality it's all very innocent.  I know they like each other and all that, but move on!   She could have totally played it off and told mills to come take a pic infront of her new door! Be excited about the purchase, and don't weird.

A fire in the County jail was always going to be risky and the power failure only made thing worse along with Hermann’s wife Cindy goes into labour with their fifth child with complications couldn't of happened at a worse time

I'm glad to know severride wasn't  the father and the arsonist is targeting the whole station.  I like the grouping better.  

Casey is not handling the kids super well is he.   Should be upfront.   They can take it.

I agree re: Severide, though I thought it was kind of harsh the way she just left him when he was willing to stay with her (can't remember the baby mama's name).  The arson storyline is interesting, but I'm curious as to how actual firemen would feel about it, as I'm sure there are plenty of stations around the country that have cut back on staff.

I think when they put Casey as guardian in their will, he was living with/ engaged to someone, wasn't he?  I feel for him, especially considering his own mother had been in prison.  I think he's doing the best he can, but taking on 2 kids whose father died & mother is in prison is a HUGE task.  He will defo need some help.

He was the customer from the week before who was going to buy drinks for some women in the bar until they went to the bar across the way.  I like Gabby, and I like her & Casey together.  I kind of wish they'd finally both be ready at the same time to be together.  Not sure that with the kids he's going to truly be ready for a while though.

You have to feel sorry for Kelly after finding out Renee got pregnant from a one night stand and Casey learning he might be looking after the boys for 15 months was a surprise but the whole willing to help was a nice touch
