Under the Dome Premieres on CBS on June 24, 2013



On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when—or if—it will go away.

Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens—town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician’s assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing—even murder—to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn’t just short. It’s running out.

To busy watching the cop to not see the cows in the road was amusing but the way the dome sliced that poor cow in half was sick and the way that truck flattened against the wall was frightening and the car was lucky they seen it after ignoring the radio warning, poor Angie having a crazy stalker with Junior first confronting Barbie and then locking her in the air-raid shelter

This was great start to the pilot cow slicing in half was disturbing but i actually thought it was cool. It does look like town has few secrets but the fact that when they close to source of dome the kids go into trance was interesting side-effect. Angie that actress really like playing different roles but her confidence is certainly much better. I hope good luck on this show.

What are the chance that you meet women who's husband you buried in a ditch so much for trying to leave that was just bad timing .

Well what can you do but she young i am sure she will do more tv shows but you can understand why most actors prefer doing movies over tv series.

Junior has really got it bad for Angie attacking Barbie again and that has to be the best line ever (the lord works in mysterious ways) as he was trying to burn evidence

Seriously burning the whole house was an accident but why didn't he just take documents with him instead of burning it ?. That's what most rational people do but he was lucky he got rescued . Them finding out it was a dome was worried about oxygen seems valid concern until we found out air can get through.

I need people to realize that the Girl is no where to be found. How does someone under a dome just disappear?  I would think her Brother would be worried.  Tie that story line up and keep going. Junior is CRAZY!  

So is Barbie a Hit man or an enforcer??  I hope he's not all bad.    Love that hes staying with the journalist.

Angie breaking the water pipe after her failed escape attempted was amusing as she cant get a break and what a time for a meningitis epidemic to break out but at leased they quarantined in their own bubble, Reverend Lester burning the medicine thinking it's Gods work was bizarre and the results of Norrie and Joe trying to determine the cause of their seizures was interesting especially after watching the video but making Junior a sheriff they are going to regret

How long it took Junior's dad to let Angie go was disappointing and you can understand why she went home first but unfortunate for her Junior beat her too it and so much for those outside the dome trying to destroy it but looks like they have destroyed themselves instead

hahahaha  morons.  They blew up the area all around the dome and killed Everything with in how ever many miles.  When the dome comes down, it'll suck for the residents.  The soil is destroyed.

The council man can not surprise me.  I expect him to be shady.  Taking so long to Let her go was typical.  He needed to  weigh the options.

Alice causing the accident that took out the water supply was unfortunate but as she had run out of her medication it wasn't her fault but raining inside the dome was bizarre and poor Angie not being able to catch a break escaping from Junior only to walk into another tragedy

Harriet asking Barbie to hold her hand made sense as her husband wasn't there but what a tragedy naming the baby Alice as the other Alice died and Junior shooting the runaway after he surrendered was predictable

The 4th hand was the most interesting part of the whole episode.  The drugs were lame (prob necessary) but predictable.  Junior pulling out the pink stars photo could just be a coincidence.

The long haired friend of noes could be the 4th hand.  Gosh I hope its not junior.  That guy is creepy.

for it to have taken so long to even *learn about the hands....then all 4 were pulled together in like 2 episodes such a disappointment.   Bummer

Maxine is one crazy woman taking revenge for Barbie rejecting her by shooting Julia in cold blood but finding her mother dead will only make things worse and I'm glad to see Junior is still being his obnoxious self, I cant believe Big Jim got away with murder and blamed it on Barbie but their vision was great

Barbie working with Angie to help save Julia was great as her being a candy striper was the only way to distract Junior while Barbie rescues her and what a shame for Dodee being another of Jim's victims

Not quite sure what make of this season finale it was a good cliffhanger but so many question but that one hell of a hiding place Julia put the egg and as a result pink stars were falling turning dome white but i thought it would remove the dome but at least we know reason why it exist but no explanation of how it was created and who really was responsible.

that's one mystery I'm okay with not finding out.  I liked the episode a lot until the very end.  If they Kill  Barbie without a trial, or hearing or anything I"ll be sorely disappointed in mankind (on tv).  I liked that the dome finally "spoke" to them though.

Linda getting zapped for touching the mini dome was so predictable but I'm glad Julia is the Monarch rather than Barbie and I cant believe the town would allow them to hang Barbie without a trial, the lights coming out of the water reminded me of Invasion in reverse

Well this was good start to the season continue where we left off with some new characters . Big Jim trying kill himself save his son was nice thought but having to be forced to was interesting but trust Julia to prevent that from happening . We learn Junior mother is in fact alive

Linda getting crushed to death saving Barbie was a tragic way to start and Big Jim getting trapped in his own shelter was karma but Julia saving his life being the reason everyone regained consciousness was surprising

Rebecca's plan to eliminate 25% of Chester's Mill's population by infecting the water was disturbing and Melanie going to the same place where she died after finding the mini egg was interesting as Lyle could be responsible for her and Angie's death

It's starting to look like Sam killed Angie and Sam and Lyle were responsible for Melanie's death and what did Wendell expect bringing a gun to the trial but al leased that's one less to mouth to feed, making it look like they destroyed what little food there was to undermined Julia was unbelievable

Julia deciding to pardon big jim and the doctor was really nice but things are certainly not under control but finding out one of them actually had a lot of food was nice surprise and it was nice she willing to share and not keep it a secret .

Barbie asking Don to send a message to Julia made sense but what a stroke of luck the mysterious hacker revealed that Don had altered it and did Julia understand Barbie's message before he was arrested

Big Jim offering to retrieve Barbie's body was amusing as Julia suspected he was fishing to find out how he got outside the dome and I'm glad Barbie took out the guard his father set on him, I'm not sure I trust Hunter yet as he was helping Barbie's father
