Discuss Anything About Naked and Afraid Here
Naked and Afraid takes "survival of the fittest" to the next level. Each week, a new pair of complete and total strangers - one man and one woman - will find themselves stranded in and, quite literally, exposed to some of the world's most extreme weather environments. Each duo will be left high and dry with no food, no water...and no clothes. They must survive on their own for a full 21 days, with nothing but one personal item each and the knowledge that the only prize is their pride and sense of accomplishment.
In Naked and Afraid, these brazen and bold couples will get acquainted with each other and their new surroundings very quickly, forcing them to question and test everything they may think they know about their acquired survival skills and instincts.
Will the nude castaways have the brains and brawn to endure the harsh conditions? Or will the challenges prove to be overbare-ing? Watch as each couple battles the elements, each other, and their own inner weakness to see who will triumph over the terrain or fail under the force of nature.

After watching the first episode it's obvious each episode covers a different couple struggle for 21 days, EJ and Kellie being the next couple was interesting as how different they coped to the first couple but they were dropped off in Tanzania which was a lot hotter, EJ making fun of Kellie because she was fishing by sitting in the water with her legs apart was amusing as she was the one who caught the fish Author: codebreaker Time: 9-18-2013 15:05 Subject: 1x03 Island From Hell

I can never understand why you watch shows like this Author: wanted Time: 10-7-2023 17:05 Subject: I watch this show in the hope of learning something
but other than what NOT to do, I've never seen anything. They dont even know to use alternative Swedish torch fire lays to ignite Siberian fire lays and heat rocks to put under their bedding They dont know what items to take, much less what to do or in what order to get them done. They need to each take a 2 person hammock. One needs to be a solid material hammock, waterproof sprayed while still at home and the other hammock needs to be a 2 person cotton-rope type. Of the items offered by the producers, they should take the machete. The sheet hammock becomes your tent, breech clout, shoulder cape (if needed vs the sun) water container, liner for your stone-boiling pit, The cotton rope hammock gets unraveled, as does the rope and the rope strands. The 44 threads are then re-spun into 6 thread string, used to make netting. The netting can be stuffed with dry debris to form blankets, cover the ends of the hammock-tent. The sheet hammocks are all pretty much 10x6 ft in size. So you can cut a 3.5 x6 ft hunk off of one end, to make all of the other needed items. If you have dry conditions and soft, non coniferous wood, , it's very easy to start a fire with the fire-saw. If youre not that lucky, you'll have to devote 2-3 hours to making a big pump drill. Then you can easily make fire, with any sort of wood, no matter how wet it is. Almost none of them have known to even bury their coals in the ashes, of a foot deep pit, with a small, movable primitive shelter to put over the ashes pit and a trench around it to lead rain-water away from the pit. Kid stuff, man.

and an alternative swedish fire torch to ignite the siberian (if all is wet). They dont know to bury their coals in their ashes, with a small, portable primitive A frame shelter for the fire pit and a trench around it, to protect it from rain. Then they could sleep in peace, assured that the fire would be re-igniable in the morning. They dont know to heat rocks and bury them under their shelter when they go to sleep, and to wrap debris around hot stones, to put inside of their shelter with them. Author: wanted Time: 10-7-2023 20:48 Subject: They need to each bring a hammock.
one being a solid fabric type, waterproof sprayed at home, so it can become their tent, liner for their stone-boiling pit and water storage liner/basket. The other hammock should be a cotton rope type, for a cordage source. Unravel it, unravel the rope and the strands and you can make 1200 sq ft of 2" mesh netting. used as a seine and a couple of baited weirs, it will feed you any place with a body of water and fish. Netting can also be wrapped around stick boxgrames, and used to catch birds, crabs, rabbits, crayfish, even snakes.. cordage can be wrapped around a stick (longways) and then sewn, forming the sole of a sandal, which you badly need on this challenge. out of the items offered you by the producers, take the machete. In 2-3 hours, you can make the big pump drill needed to always, easily get friction fire.
