Lark Rise to Candleford Premiered on BBC One on January 13, 2008
Set in the small hamlet of Lark Rise and the wealthier neighbouring market town, Candleford, at the end of the 19th century, the series chronicles the daily lives of farm-workers, craftsmen and gentry, observing characters in loving, boisterous and competing communities of families, rivals, friends and neighbours.
This world is seen through the eyes of a teenage girl, Laura Timmins, as she leaves Lark Rise to start a new life under the wing of the independent and effervescent Dorcas Lane, who is post-mistress at the local post office in Candleford.
The pair epitomise the force of friendship as they see each other through the best and worst of times.
Laura being sent off to work in a nearby post office when the new baby arrived in her family was bad timing as it looked like she was moved out to make room for the baby but what the kids did to Caroline while she was asleep was amusing, Laura standing up for her home village was great and the row over having to pay for telegram deliveries service was interesting but with Queenie's brother dying without her knowing because she couldn't afford the charge was sad and how the Postmistress and Sir Timothy quietly scheme to resolve the 8 miles issue was great Author: codebreaker Time: 9-23-2013 10:32 Subject: 1x02 Episode 2
Laura being trusted with the fact that Mrs Macey husband Dan had escaped from jail but being overheard by Zillah you just knew when it was being talked about in the village they would blame Laura but at leased Zillah owned up and Caroline debts getting out of had thanks too her drinking problems was bound to happen sooner or later but the court ruling was great Author: codebreaker Time: 9-23-2013 11:18 Subject: 1x03 Episode 3

Thomas working at the hotel to help pay for his wedding to Miss Ellison was nice but her thinking he's strayed was understandable as he did make it look like he was avoiding her and James handing over all his hotels to Celestia so he could be with Dorcas was in hast as lying to her was unforgivable Author: codebreaker Time: 10-20-2013 08:11

Caroline being released from prison was nice for the final episode and the fact one of her children died while she was inside should of been a lesson but finding the money Edmund lost only to waste it was reckless and Minnie standing up to Caroline was amusing as she was her usual tongue tied and Alf proposing was nice along with Margaret being pregnant and Gabriel declaring his feeling for Dorcas was a nice conclusion
