After a parishioner dies in suspicious circumstances, investigative vicar Sidney Chambers (James Norton), knows that the story doesn't match up to what the police has claimed has happened. He soon becomes involved with local Police Chief Geordie Keating (Robson Greene) and the pair begin working alongside one another to solve crimes in the quiet village of Grantchester.

Sidney saving Marion from the fire was great but her reluctance to leave was bizarre until it was revealed her husband was being blackmailed for being gay and you can understand why Geordie suspected Marion at first, Geordie arresting another gay man only made things worse as Sidney was hopping to keep it quiet but with Geordie son being seriously ill at the time you can understand him not thinking straight Author: codebreaker Time: 11-15-2014 07:42 Subject: 1x05 Episode 5

Sidney getting the girl to talk was amusing but Geordie getting shot was surprising and what an amusing distraction in the police station so Sidney could sneak in, Sidney coming clean about sleeping with the woman in London was the right thing to do but wanting to know her name was not what I expected Author: codebreaker Time: 3-3-2016 03:25

Rita refusing to give Geordie the OK to arrest her violent husband Eddie was understandable back in those times but discovering some recently stolen goods made it easy for Geordie to arrest and finding him dead in the morning didn't look good for Geordie but Rita poisoning him was karma, Gary being hung was tragic Author: codebreaker Time: 4-7-2016 03:21 Subject: 2x06 Episode 6
Sidney drinking like never before was sad as you knew it was over the difficult events of the past few weeks and Sam should of know better than return but getting stabbed was karma, shame Abigail's parents had to go through that

Having problems with the Christmas lights brought back some amusing memories, Sidney and Amanda's relationship is going to be hard with her being estranged from her husband and heavily pregnant but what her father did was diabolical, the groom turning up dead with the wedding rings lodged in his mouth was interesting with it being the hallmarks of an unsolved murder from nine years ago, Amanda giving birth with the help of Mrs. Maguire was great Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 21:37

Geordie being distracted when he seen Margaret in the crowd at the village cricket match was amusing but the game coming to an abrupt end because of racism was disappointing and almost all the men collapsing was surprising, Sidney being warned off about his friendship with Amanda from the new archdeacon was so predictable Author: codebreaker Time: 9-22-2017 21:39

It's a shame Sidney has lost his faith in a church but with him not being allowing him to be married to the woman he loves it makes sense but I had a feeling he would have second thoughts, the Archdeacon telling the mother God would keep his son safe I found condescending as he wasn't there to keep him safe before he went missing but glad he was found safe and well
