Prisoners' Wives Premiered on BBC One on January 31, 2012

Prisoner’s Wives tells the stories of four women; Gemma, Francesca, Harriet & Lou whose lives become entwined as they all struggle to cope on the ‘outside’ whilst their men do time ‘inside’. It is a show about a group of women defined by the absence of men in their lives, but more importantly their relationships with each other. From the innocent mother-to-be who was unaware that her husband was a murderer, to the sophisticated and complicit career-criminal's wife; these women couldn't be more different, yet the situation they share brings them together.

Gemma's is a bit naive believing in her husband’s innocence but you don't get arrested like that without them having something on him and the way she searched the caravan for the gun she must of started to believe the police are right, Lou deserves to loose her kid leaving him at home alone while she's out selling drugs and Francesca getting thrown out of prison for giving her husband a flash was amusing but she should of closed her legs when the guard was doing his rounds and Gemma's flood was amusing

What a turn around for Francesca when she finds her life being turned upside down after her assets end up being seized but what he had done to the guy she works with was terrible and that was a close call for Gemma trying to get rid of the gun

What Gavin asked his mom, Harriet to do was predictable but it was the only way to try and protect him and to buy off the bully with drugs but watching her trying to buy them was amusing but she was lucky when she was at the prison and what a predicament Gemma gets herself into by trying to copy a file only to be almost molested by her boss and then going to were her husband's place of work she realises he's is still keeping secrets from her

Gemma husband declaring his love for her while she wants to see justice prevail so she helps the police build a case against her him and Lou returns home from a night-time deal to find Mason’s bed empty would be frightening but she soon discovers that he has been sleepwalking and her dealer using him to deliver drugs was diabolical but the consequences of him loosing them was bound to happen

Paul sending Francesca an anniversary card with a map inside it detailing where they can sneak off to have sex on family day was amusing but the way they ran and how quick he came was priceless, Gavin beginning to feel jealous and angry is understandable because Harriet’s attentions are on helping Lou and Mason but the way Steve grabbed Gemma when he suspect her of talking to the police was terrible and her life will be in danger

After Gemma tells DC Hunter that Steve know she’s been talking to the police he puts her straight into witness protection which was predictable but what a lousy job he did when Andy tried to kill her and going into labour didn't help and what a place to give birth all alone, Francesca's trip to the airport for her husband was very profitable but at what cost to her family and what was Harriet thinking when she kissed the Ian the priest and poor Mason just getting his dad back from prison only for his mom to go to prison

Francesca and her family were lucky when their home was set alight with them inside and the police saying do they have any enemies I found amusing as Paul is in prison but what happened in the car was a surprise, Kim's world being turned upside-down after her husband is accused of sexual abuse was a surprise as it looked like a set-up from the start by their next door neighbour

Francesca beginning money laundering for her husband’s business was interesting as she must of opened half a dozen bank accounts using a lot of disguises and she should of expected someone to miss the guy shot in the car, you can understand why Kim wanted to prove her husband’s innocence but I had a felling taking him for a burger was a bad idea

Kim was lucky she only reversed into Harriet's car because she has a sympathetic ear and she was in no state to drive, poor Aisling attempting to deal with the devastating news that her father has died and Gavin attacking Ian was predictable after what Harriet had done, Francesca getting arrested was bound to happen
