Paige wanting to go to bible camp wasn't a surprise but Elizabeth objecting instead of Philip was a surprise and forging her mothers signature was a bad idea, Annelise's reaction after sleeping with him was surprising as she looked like she was enjoying it

So much for trying to protect Jared when he saved them instead but his dying words were surprising and being ordered to bring Paige in was a surprise but she is close to finding out the truth by herself

Yes Jared confession certainly made things a lot more clear as what really happened but Paige is already close to distrust them but Elizabeth  thinking about at end was not surprising . The next season should be interesting to see if they will bring her into it or not.
