The Secret of Crickley Hall Premiered on BBC One on November 18, 2012

Based on the novel by best-selling British scribe James Herbert, the thriller begins a year after the disappearance of Cam, the son of Gabe Caliegh (Tom Ellis, “The Fades”) and Eve Caleigh (Suranne Jones, “Doctor Who”). As the couple and their two daughters attempt to start anew, they head to Crickley Hall – a seemingly perfect countryside house. But when cellar doors start to open on their own, phantom children’s cries are heard through the night and a frenzied cane-wielding specter rears its head – the Caleigh’s realize the house comes with a lot more than they bargained for. Just as they’re ready to move out, Eve Caleigh hears Cam’s cries and all bets are off.

Shifting between 1943 and present day, the Caleigh’s are desperate to find the source of the crying and the connection the haunted house has to their son. Will they find him before the evil that stalks Crickley Hall finds their other children? Written and directed by Joe Ahearne (“Doctor Who”), this classic haunted house spine chiller is full of scares, yet underpinned by the heartbreaking story of a family needing to heal and ghosts who need to be laid to rest.

Cam being taken after Eve fell asleep in the park was tragic but the strange things beginning to happen when they move into Crickley Hall before the one year anniversary of Cam's disappearance was interesting, finding out why there was 68 headstones in the cemetery having 1943 on them was disturbing because it sounded like a lie and what was happening to the children back in 1943 was disturbing, touch call moving out to protect the girls or stay in the hope of finding Cam

It's a good job Gabe found Cribben’s punishment book hidden in the cupboard by the stairs but why such a sadistic man would keep evidence like that was bizarre and Magda asking Maurice to kill Nancy was a surprise

Eve getting some new information from Lili about Cam was interesting as the police found a body where she said it would be and Gabe making her way to London to identify the body was sad, Cribben killing all the kids by carbon monoxide rather than the drowning story was sick and Loren was lucky her dad got back in time to save her from the well but the ghost of Nancy leading the children away was a nice ending
