A little sad cause I absolutely love him on the show, but NCIS will end some time soon anyway, they can't keep going so I think he made the best decision he could make.
Does he have anything else lined up?

I saw an interview he did a month or two ago, and he apparently has some sort of production deal already in place with CBS. Not sure if he plans to take some time off from acting, though I'd not be surprised if he did, since I think the hours they put in on NCIS are pretty long.
