I'm not sure either, but it sounds like the main thing will be the same kind of format.  The first half of the show dealing with the police side of the case and the second half with the judicial side.  I think there will definitely be an audience for it.

I imagine there will be British writers on the staff.  Even if there are some American writers, they will have to do their homework to learn about the British legal system, and also how to write the way Brits talk.  The franchise is well respected, so I'm sure they have taken all of those things (as well as any others) into consideration. :)
